Islam is at the heart of an emerging global anti-hegemonic culture that combines diasporic and local cultural elements, and blends Arab, Islamic, black and Hispanic factors to generate "a revolutionary black, Asian and Hispanic globalization, with its own dynamic counter-modernity constructed in order to fight global imperialism. (say what!)
I remember reading somewhere that stress causes the blood to thicken (something about the fight or flight response). Because Blacks in White cultures are under greater stress due to institutionalized racism and its broad effects, they always have this thicker blood. This leads to enormous health problems including heart disease, etc... from a young age.
Basically, yes. I'm not sure about medical specifics, but yes I'm sure that institutional racism has adverse health consequences in terms of stress, trauma, etc.
