senzala or quilombo

Just the other day I got into a conversation about anarchism with a Chicana friend of mine so the subject has been on my mind. In Senzala or Quilombo: Reflections on APOC and the fate of Black Anarchism, Pedro Ribeiro metaphorically connects APOC, the Anarchist People of Color organization with the Brazilian qilombos, the free communities of runaway slaves.

Thanks. I'm just glad people are reading them. It's kind of funny though... sometimes I think that the diversity of the articles is a "flaw" in the sense that in the long term ...I would like to make sense of everything as a whole and synthesize it together somehow.

Maybe if I find a big enough mountain I can look back to all the different posts and all the different ideas they invoke and come up with a "big picture"...
