Islam is at the heart of an emerging global anti-hegemonic culture that combines diasporic and local cultural elements, and blends Arab, Islamic, black and Hispanic factors to generate "a revolutionary black, Asian and Hispanic globalization, with its own dynamic counter-modernity constructed in order to fight global imperialism. female, muslim and mutant
altmuslimah: Female, Muslim, and mutant: Muslim women in comic books part 1 part 2
yes i have! i really liked it however the same folks that did Pride Of Baghdad have this awful series called Y: The Last Man. Despite the dope visual art component of the series, the politics is HORRIBLE.
I was tempted to get Y: The Last Man, especially after seeing the film "Children of Men" but the whole thing seemed too long...(and more importantly, expensive).
Any favorites? I really liked Kyle Baker's "Why I Hate Saturn"
