My God... Othello is a good play.
I was a fan of West Wing when it was on the air. And I'm recently reminded of one episode; Ellie which was full of so much political/family drama around the President Bartlet's relationship with his daughters (More than average for the show anyway) that at one point the President exclaims: My God, King Lear is a good play!
I'm just in that kind of mood. I'm hoping mine ends better.

Have you ever seen the version with Scott and McClellan? Brilliant!
NoI've only seen Laurence Fishburne's version and also "O" with Mekhi Pfifer and Julia Stiles. It was really good. I highly recommend it. Actually, it is funny that I mention this in a West Wing related post since Martin Sheen is also in "O" as "Othello's coach and Iago's father which adds an interesting twist to the story.
Also, it is funny that Julia Stiles is in this because it means that she's been in 3 Shakespeare movies (the others are 10 things I hate about you and Hamlet) and at least one other "Jungle Fever" movie (the other being Save the Last Dance)
I've never really gotten jungle fever flicks simple because all my inter-racial relationships in the past worked out okay, take away an occasional tiny family bit of dissaproval. Maybe it's because black wasn't onvolved in the equation, or maybe I've just been lucky.
