It doesn't look like anyone took me up on my suggestion in it's beginning to look a lot like kwanzaa... to create a Kwanzaa blogring. But in any case, with the exception of anti-Kwanzaa right-wing bloggers who basically copied or linked to Ann Coulter saying nasty things about Maulana Karenga, fewer people than I expected seem to have blogged about Kwanzaa at all this year. But here are some of the meatier, thoughtful and positive examples of folks blogging on the merits and significance of Kwanzaa. Enjoy! Peace.

After the stuff she said about the 9-11 widows, anyone who uses AC as "reference" material for anything should not even be considered sane.
What did she say about the 9-11 widows?
Here she is:
Coulter and Colmes were discussing Coulter's new book, Godless: The Church of Liberalism (Crown Forum, June 2006), in which she wrote of the 9-11 widows: "These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much." During the segment, Colmes asked Coulter: "Do you think, for one second, these women would not give up every piece of celebrity and notoriety they have to have their husbands back?" Coulter responded, "Oh, I don't know. At this point, to give up $2 million ... to have to go back to cooking meals and not ... appearing in Vanity Fair. They're clearly enjoying their celebrity status."
more:
# "These self-obsessed women seemed genuinely unaware that 9/11 was an attack on our nation and acted as if the terrorist attacks happened only to them." [p.103]
# "[T]hey believed the entire country was required to marinate in their exquisite personal agony. Apparently, denouncing Bush was an important part of their closure process." [p.103]
# "These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much." [p.103]

Good Morning,
I don't know if anyone is reading this blog anymore...but I am glad I found it. I have been raising my god daughter since birth for the past 10 years. I would like to give her a since of heritage and culture that she can be proud of all year round. As I am having my own discovery issues with "the Church" and if I am a born and raised Christian or something else by choice. I don't want to take away the Holiday season.
bookmarked!!, I really like your website!
