Asalaamu alaikum. Thanks for posting all this. People need to be aware of the reality of Thanksgiving as a holiday. Personally, I do celebrate thanksgiving because I think we should be thankful for all that Allah has blessed us with, every day. But as an American Indian, I also teach my son to view it as thankfulness to Allah but not as the American holiday it started out as, and more importantly, I try to teach him why.
