  1. Great article. My friends call the Black Kuwaitis Buwaitis. Some even have the swagger of African Americans. Call it globalization, or call it genetics, I dunno. I'm really interested in exploring the history of Afro-Arabs (as some scholars are calling them)

  3. You might be interested in checking out the Third Resurrection group blog then. The members haven't updated it in a while, and the emphasis is more on African-American (or Blackamerican) orthodox Muslims. But we've definitely put things up there about people of AFrican-descent in the Arab/Muslim world.
